All candidates who apply to study at LSST will be invited to an Assessment Day at the study centre where their course will be delivered. The assessment day will last approximately 3 hours and will consist of completing an online application, an interview with a programme lecturer and a general academic test. The aim of the day is to check that you qualify to enrol on the course, by examining your academic skills, understanding of the course and commitment to further/higher education study. The Admissions Team will be on hand to assist you with any questions or problems you may encounter on the day.

What to expect

During the assessment day, UK applicants are required to complete the following:

  • Literacy and Numeracy Exam
  • Online Application
  • Screening for Accreditation of Prior Experience (SAPE) Assessment
  • Academic Tutor Interview

In addition to the above, EU applicants are also required to undertake an English Language Test.

What to bring

It is mandatory that you bring the following documents with you:

  • Valid ID (passport, birth certificate, etc)
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of previous qualifications (certificates)
  • An updated CV

Failure to bring these documents will delay the admission process and can possibly result in you having to reschedule your appointment.

What Next?

All results regarding your application will be published on your online application.

If you are successful, you will need to follow the online instructions to accept the offer and to complete the compulsory admissions survey. Please note that you will need to apply for funding BEFORE accepting your offer as you will need your student finance customer reference number.

If you are unsuccessful, you will receive a message and also a follow up email. We will keep your details on file and we will contact you when we start recruitment for the next available intake. Please be reminded you may have to start the admissions process from the beginning.
