Thanks for sharing this invaluable blog on a rather universally disturbing social canker of mental illness which has the potentiality to affect us all, both staff and students alike.

Indeed, you have taken the trouble and time to do a detailed and robust research on the subject matter as reflected in your relevant references and citations.

I have personally gained a lot of knowledge on the subject matter as an academic and would strongly recommend you consider this topic for a further research for your PhD programme, all things being equal!!

I strongly recommend you prepare a special training paper to educate all of us staff and students alike, if the authorities will permit this.

Many thanks for your comments. It is great for me to hear how useful it is. I wanted to give plenty of helpful websites and links for people to access which may help them as individuals or help them to support friends/colleagues/peers/family if they notice something is not quite right.
