This rare opportunity of leadership exhibited by the LSST management, championed by the Deputy CEO, Mr Mohammed Zaidi, gives us the entire LSST community the unique chance to spearhead the regulation of the Drone industry in good time now before the menace gets out of hand.

The technological revolution presented to us consumers through the positive use of drones can only be sustained in the long run if we start action now to call on the government to start implementing the effective regulation of the drones industry by way of introducing licences to individuals who wish to purchase drones for either commercial or private use.

The ball is in our camp to seize the opportunity to start the campaign to lobby for tight regulation and control of the manufacture, sale and use of drones, NOW or NEVER!!
Bravo and kudos to Mr Zaidi for his pioneer efforts!!

Not interested in drones until I read this. Wow. We are in for a big big change!!!!! Thinking RAF has got us protected but you just never know what is next with technology.

Drones are bad news for everyone and we must stop them from public use please. All student should work together and support RAF work in this matter as they are having to fight criminals.

We have a great deputy ceo that is always looking out for us and has inspired many of us with his articles and the people he speaks with. Would like to see how class teams at my campus take on the debate about this. I personally think that drones are here top help us but will sadly be more of a problem for the world as already cartels and thugs are using these. As they get cheap and smaller – more issues will be seen !

Well done Mohammed Zaidi. Your work captures the use and abuse of drones and we will all have to work in a different way now. Drones are in infancy stages and can help or hinder the world. Many LSST students I study with will see this article in future years to come and say how much the world has changed. We have not seen anything yet!
