The LSST Skills Bootcamp: Traffic Marshall provides comprehensive training in traffic control, safety protocols, and site skills essential for the construction and civil engineering sectors.
By completing the programme, every learner will receive at least one guaranteed job interview with one of our fantastic employer partners in the traffic management constructions.
You will achieve Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace, Level 1 Manual Handling, Level 1 Traffic Marshalling, and Level 2 Working in Confined Spaces, as well as gain a CSCS Green Labourer Card upon passing the required tests.

Introduction to LSST’s Traffic Marshall Bootcamp
This bootcamp is specifically designed for individuals eager to start or advance their career as a Traffic Marshall. Whether you’re new to the industry, returning to work, or looking to upskill, this programme caters to your needs. LSST focuses on equipping learners with the practical skills and safety knowledge essential for traffic marshall roles in today’s infrastructure sectors.

LSST will assign you a dedicated employer engagement executive who will work with you for a period of up to 6 months until you progress into work in a relevant role. We shall also provide advice on becoming self employed, and access to live job opportunities with employer partners.

• Full attendance is required along with passing of CSCS card to be eligible for guaranteed interview
• A high level of professional conduct is mandatory throughout the programme
Introduction to LSST’s Traffic Marshall Bootcamp
This bootcamp is specifically designed for individuals eager to start or advance their career in traffic marshall. Whether you’re new to the industry, returning to work, or looking to upskill, this programme caters to your needs. LSST focuses on equipping learners with the practical skills and safety knowledge essential for traffic management roles in today’s construction and infrastructure sectors.
The course is practical, engaging, and directly relevant to real-world traffic marshall scenarios. It is aimed at people working within Crawley and surrounding areas for those aged 19 and over, helping individuals enter employment, upskill, or change careers. The training provides access to in-demand sector-specific skills and guarantees a job interview upon completion.
You will learn how to set up, manage, and dismantle traffic management systems, understand health and safety regulations, and work towards obtaining your CSCS Green Card – a essential qualification for work within this type of role. You will achieve Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace, Level 1 Manual Handling, Level 1 Traffic Marshalling, and Level 2 Working in Confined Spaces, as well as gain a CSCS Green Labourer Card upon passing the required tests.
Duration
The bootcamp runs over 6 weeks, with 60 hours of guided learning. Each week, learners will take part in a combination of tutor-led workshops, practical hands-on training, and employability coaching.

✔ Risk assessment and method statements (RAMS)
✔ Real-world traffic management scenarios and case studies
✔ CSCS Green Card test preparation
✔ Team-based practical exercises

Format
This course is delivered primarily through face-to-face sessions at our Stratford Campus, allowing for hands-on practical training with real traffic management equipment. You’ll also take part in peer-to-peer activities, where you can share your experiences and learn from others. We’ve incorporated digital learning elements to help you prepare for the CSCS test and understand industry regulations.
Our aim is to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where you can confidently develop the skills needed to succeed in the traffic management industry.

All interviews are strategically scheduled post-training to meet GLA funding requirements and secure progression milestones. Learners receive focused, vacancy-specific interview preparation to build confidence, overcome past setbacks, and significantly increase their chances of success.
Learners are fully supported through the interview process. While mock interviews may take place earlier in the programme, our team provides targeted, vacancy-specific interview preparation to build confidence and improve performance. Many learners have experienced previous rejection or low confidence, so making this preparation count is essential.
Our goal is to ensure that every learner approaches their interview well-prepared, confident, and ready to start their career as a traffic marshall. You will also enjoy a workshop becoming self employed and successfully applying to relevant jobs.
