LSST Wembley’s In-House Careers Fair Prepares Students for Success

LSST Wembley hosted its highly impactful student in-house Careers Fair on 14 May 2024 and raised the importance of graduate employment skills in today’s dynamic career landscape. 

 

The event buzzed with energy as LSST Wembley students engaged with representatives from well-known employers, including Barclays, The Protocol Group, The Met Police and Learn Ealing. The on-your-doorstep Careers Fair allowed LSST students to explore an array of career prospects spanning various industries, from banking to technology to education right outside their classrooms. 

 

Mr Ali Jafar Zaidi, LSST Deputy CEO, outlining LSST’s commitment to nurturing professionals poised to thrive in today’s workforce, said, ‘We remain steadfast in our commitment to cultivate the next generation of LSST student leaders and innovators. Our Career Fairs provide our students with the resources and channels to guide them towards realising their career aspirations.’ 

LSST Vice-Principal, Charlie Tennant, speaking at the Careers Fair, said, ‘It was thrilling to see so many career-focused students and so many amazing employers speaking directly with our students about exciting local and national opportunities.’  

 

Mohammed Haider, Dean of LSST’s Wembley Campus, asserted, ‘We are delighted to celebrate the first Careers Fair at our Wembley Campus. This was a huge milestone marked by the participation of over 10 esteemed organisations. This event is not just significant for our students – it represents a critical step towards shaping their futures. The Careers Fair plays a vital role in connecting our students with potential employers, providing them with opportunities that can profoundly impact their careers.’ 

 

Sibte Abbas, Campus Career & Employability Officer at LSST Wembley, added, ‘We are proud to offer our students the opportunity to meet with such esteemed organisations. A heartfelt thank you to all the organisations that attended; your presence made a significant difference, and we look forward to collaborating on even bigger and better events in the future.
