LSST’s UWL Computing Students Achieve Distinctive First Class AwardsArticle Date | 1 March, 2018
LSST congratulates several of its BSc (Hons) Computing & Information Systems students for achieving distinctive firsts-class awards from its academic partner, The University of West London.
Students Krisztian Dajko (84%), Ivaylo Stoichkov (78%) and Tomasz Tatkowski (74%) all attained high grades based on impactful research and skill demonstration.
Syed Rizvi, LSST’s Associate Dean, said: ‘These outstanding students have managed to stand out from the crowd in a remarkable year of success for LSST. They have all shown that, through perseverance and dedidacation, exceptional results can be achieved.’ Anju Bansal, LSST’s Computing Programme Leader, added: ‘This is such a proud moment for us all. It is really great to see our students flourish throughout their academic journey at LSST. We’re very excited to see how Kristztian, Ivaylo and Tomasz will progress in the near future. We will certainly stay in contact with them and have already invited them to guest speak at LSST.’
Tomasz’s research focused on a client based mobile app for real estate management titled: ‘A Paperless Mobile System for Estate Agents and Ivaylo looked at a client based functional e-commerce website named SDI Contractors (see: www.sdicontractors.co.uk). Speaking about his course, Tomasz pointed out: ‘LSST gave me the confidence and tools to achieve a very competant grade. I am very proud of the lecturers that taught me and the peers that I studied with. I will forever be greatful to LSST.’
Krisztian Dajko, focusing on his published mobile game, added: ‘This is the very first mobile game I managed to publish on the internet and I am so happy and satisfied, as its only been a few days since publishing but have already received lots of positive feedback, even from children! My future aim is to reach as many downloads as possible and, depending on feedback, I would like to thank LSST for giving me the opportunity and support that I needed as a student. My thanks to Anju Bansal for supervising my work and everyone else who helped with this research.’
