LSST celebrated its 2018 UWL graduation ceremony (Wednesday 25 July), honouring the tremendous achievements of over 100 students from its London, Luton and Birmingham campuses.

LSST graduands, along with their friends and families, joined to celebrate the culmination of their hard work and to begin the next chapter of their lives.

Santosh Bhandari, BSc (Hons) Computing and Information Systems graduate, said: ‘My LSST journey has been absolutely amazing from the lecturers that I’ve met, to the friends I’ve made. I simply couldn’t have asked for a better experience here at LSST.’

The excitement of the new graduates reverberated around the majestic Wembley Stadium – where the ceremony was held and organised by LSST’s academic partner UWL – with each recipient given a rousing cheer and applause from staff, family and friends as they crossed the graduation stage.

Graduation ceremonies act as the cornerstone for LSST’s calendar with the collective LSST community sharing the excitement and joy of students from each of its campuses.

Anamaria Muntyan-Baloga, BA (Hons) Business Studies graduate, said: ‘My family and friends are so proud of me and I express my sincerest gratitude to everyone at LSST for making my learning experience so memorable, enriching and life-changing.’

Business graduate Kristiana Stefanova reflected on the friendships she had made while studying at LSST: ‘The best thing about my time at LSST is that I have made friends for life. Thanks to the many guest speakers and events, I even have a network of industry contacts from all over the world.’

Mr Syed Zaidi, Founder and CEO of LSST, said: ‘As graduates you mark the culmination of an age of hard work. The international experience and expertise LSST graduates hold is valued by employers both in the UK and in the global community. LSST has always encouraged you to challenge conventional viewpoints and think globally – and we now encourage you to continue making real positive difference to society. Please remember that LSST will always be here to support you.’

LSST acknowledges UWL’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter John for his leadership in making UWL one of the top 50 ranked universities in the UK (Guardian University Guide, 2019).

  2. I still can not believe I have completed my computing degree. I feel I have achieved the most desirable milestone of my life – especially as I have been out from the education arena for almost 10 years. It was very difficult for me to come back into education and start over again and LSST understood my situation immediately. Initially I was so scared but I would like to credit lecturers and peers at LSST. Without their support I would never be able to achieve this degree.

Finally my confidence has been restored. I am proud myself, my family, friends and my degree is opening up doors of wisdom and opportunities for me. Thank you LSST.

    • well done to all my buddies – congrats. I wish everyone the best and thank you all for being so kind to me

      • Having been away from education for more than 30 years i was initially very weary but my confidence grew with time and was able to achieve a lot mainly due to the dedication and professionalism of the academic staff who where able to communicate their knowledge successfully to all of us. This is in itself a proof of the high level of expertise of LSST staff.

      • It’s beautiful to see the smiles on their faces. It’s this day that really wakes everyone up, it’s that feeling you get when you see all those around you happy for you expecting the best from you, at the same time you could see 1000s of grads with those around them expecting the same. It’s that moment that makes you say GAME ON! Grads well done, you have made it to the end line but also the start line too – so now go grab what’s yours.
